International Science and Innovation Unit


ISIU acts as HM Government’s natural focal point for science and innovation issues with an international slant.

We exist to promote and strengthen UK scientific expertise and innovation worldwide, to inform better policymaking and leadership, and to use science and innovation to influence through science diplomacy.

ISIU can provide the following services to Government and stakeholders:

  • We can help in supporting events and visits relating to science and innovation (for example workshops, seminars)
  • We have an extensive Science and Innovation Network in countries of scientific interest - read the latest updates in the Network
  • We can support collaborative networking in science and innovation, in countries where our Network has a presence
