Electricity meters


The use and performance of electricity meters is governed by schedule seven of the electricity act, 1989 and supporting legislation in the form of statutory instruments.

(Important note:  Meters approved under the Measuring Instruments Directive are equally valid for billing purposes in the UK.  There is not an equivalent list of MID approved meters as we have with schedule four for UK approvals)
