National Science and Engineering WeekIt’s a national celebration of science, engineering and technology, featuring thousands of events open to the public.

National Science and Engineering Week (12 to 21 March)  is an opportunity for people of all ages to take part in science, engineering and technology activities.

The theme for this year’s festival is ‘Earth';, to highlight the International Year of Biodiversity.

As a STEM ambassador, Lord Drayson is one of a network of 19,000 volunteers who visit schools and colleges to talk about their jobs and their passion for science. Read more about Lord Drayson’s visit and the science question he asked on his online notepad.

Lord Mandelson will visit the Big Bang fair at Manchester Central to tour the exhibits and announce this year's Young Scientist and Young Engineer of the Year.
