Job vacancies

The Government announced on 24 May 2010 that there would be a freeze on all recruitment into the Civil Service. This includes secondments, temporary staff and interims from recruitment agencies.

There are exemptions for “frontline” and “business critical” posts, consistent with the need to keep external recruitment to a bare minimum in order to deliver the Government’s priorities and achieve cost savings.

Internal recruitment within core BIS continues as normal.

See the Civil Service website for details of all current civil service vacancies, including opportunities at this Department.

BIS is an equal opportunities employer.

Wider public sector jobs are listed at Directgov.
