UK NCP Stakeholder Consultation: Update of the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises

On 27 October 2009 the UK National Contact Point (UK NCP) published a consultation on the terms of reference for an update of the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises. Stakeholders are therefore invited to provide comments by 25 January 2010.

As part of this consultation process, the UK NCP also hosted a multi-stakeholder event on Monday 9 November 2009 to discuss the proposed update of the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises at the BIS Conference Centre:

The Stakeholder Consultation 2005/06

In October 2005 the Government began a consultation process with stakeholders on how the UK could improve its implementation of the Guidelines. This was in response to complaints that the UK NCP was not active enough in promoting the Guidelines and was not as effective or efficient as it could be in handling complaints that companies had breached the Guidelines.
