BIS Bioscience Unit is not able to provide direct funding to companies or universities.

The Business Link website website offers detailed information about finance and funding, including a searchable database of grants and support

The Sources of Finance for Small Business page on the BIS website provides some useful information about access to finance.

The Technology Strategy Board (TSB) website provides full information about the Technology Programme. This offers support to businesses in the form of grants to support research and development in the technology areas identified by the TSB.

UK Trade and Investment is the Government organisation that supports companies in the UK doing business internationally, and overseas enterprises seeking to set up or expand in the UK.

Research and development (R&D) tax credits are a company tax relief which can either reduce a company’s tax bill or, for some small or medium sized companies, provide a cash sum.
