Licensing

Depending on the nature and destination of the proposed export, different types of licences might be applicable.

In the first instance you should check whether you can fulfill all the terms and conditions of an Open General Export Licence (OGEL).

In particular, there are 3 technology-specific OGELs:

If you are not entitled to use an OGEL, the ECO also issues other categories of licence including Standard Individual Export Licences (SIELs).

To apply for a licence (or register for an OGEL) access SPIRE.

Record Keeping and Compliance

Exporters should be aware of the record-keeping and compliance requirements. For more information see information on Compliance and Enforcement.
