The Department of Trade and Industry has amended a number of Open General Export Licences (OGELs) and Open General Transhipment Licences (OGTLs). The new OGELs came into effect on 31 January 2005 and are now up on the website.
— OGEL (Exports or Transfers in support of UK Government Defence Contracts);
— OGEL (Military Components)
The above licences have been amended by removing the requirement for an MOD DPA clearance letter to be dated within one month of the export taking place.
— OGEL (Military Goods: Government or NATO End-use)
This licence has been amended to extend cover to include Supreme Allied Commander Atlantic (SACLANT) and to change some MOD clearance requirements.
— OGEL (Export After Repair/replacement under warranty: Military Goods);
— OGEL (Export for Repair/Replacement under warranty: Military Goods);
— OGEL (Military Goods: For Demonstration to Governments)
The above licences have been amended by changing some of the MOD clearance requirements and adding Ivory Coast to the list of destinations, which are excluded from the cover of these licences.
— OGEL (Technology for Military Goods);
— OGEL (Exports After Exhibition: Military Goods);
— OGEL (Military Surplus Vehicles);
— OGEL (Military Goods: UK Forces Deployed in Non-Embargoed Destinations);
— OGEL (Access Overseas to Technology for Military Goods: Individual Use Only);
— Open General Transhipment Licence (OGTL);
— Open General Transhipment Licence (Sporting Guns)
The above licences have been amended by adding Ivory Coast to the list of destinations, which are excluded from the cover of these licences.
These amended licences came into force on 31 January 2005.
