UK Energy Sector Indicators 2008 contains a range of indicators to show the progress made in implementing the four goals of energy policy, and is structured in three sections:

  • Key Indicators
  • Supporting Indicators
  • Background Indicators

 

The 4 Key Indicators help to capture in headline form the progress made in implementing the four goals for our energy policy set out in the Energy white paper 2003: our energy future - creating a low carbon economy and reiterated in the 2007 Energy white paper: meeting the energy challenge.

The 28 Supporting Indicators explain in more detail the trends shown by the Key Indicators and the progress to date described in the 5th Annual Report on progress towards the Energy White Paper goals.

The Key and Supporting Indicators are published in hard copy, and are available to order from the BERR Reports & Publications Orderline, or are available to download from this website below:
