Consents Granted for Electricity Generating Stations

The table below covers decisions on generating station applications under section 36 under the Electricity Act and those under Transport and Works Act (TWA) Order (for offshore renewables in English waters only) determined by the Secretary of State for Department of Energy and Climate Change (and previously Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform). It also includes those appeals under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 which are determined jointly by the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change and the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government.

NB: The table does not include TWA orders for offshore wind farms in Welsh waters as these are determined by the National Assembly for Wales.
