Jobs at the Better Regulation Executive

We are always looking for passionate, talented people who enjoy applying analytical disciplines to business or policy problems, and developing creative solutions.

Civil servants in the Better Regulation Executive are involved in a variety of projects that:

  • challenge and support government departments, regulators and inspectorates;
  • shape the future of regulatory policy;
  • encourage cultural change within departments and regulators, and change the way we regulate in practice.

Civil servants can join us on loan. For candidates outside the Civil Service, we offer secondments or 2-year fixed-term contracts (with possibility of extension or permanency).

Current vacancies

We currently have vacancies at the following levels:

  • Assistant Director (Grade 7): £43,554 – 53,034;
  • Senior Policy Advisor: (HEO) £25,432 – 31,624;
  • Business Coordinator: (EO) £20,845 – 26,003

How to Apply

We accept applications all year round, and review them regularly. We conduct a sift of applications received on a regular basis (see below for current sift and interview dates)

Sift Dates – Autumn 2009

  • Applications received by 6th September 2009 will be sifted by 15th September 2009.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be notified by 16th September and invited for interview.
  • Interviews are scheduled for the weeks of 21st September and 28th September.
