Energy Statistics

Responsibility for energy statistics has transferred to the Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC). The work undertaken by the energy statisticians can be broadly divided into two areas:

  • the collection and publication of energy statistics both for the Department's publications and for contributions to data collected by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) and international organisations;
  • the analysis of, and development of policy within, the energy sector in the UK.
