Waste Fund Managers shortly to be appointed

BIS will shortly announce the outcome of its competition for waste infrastructure fund managers.

In December the Department called for Expressions of Interest from fund managers interested in working with UKGI in the waste infrastructure sector. Successful fund managers will be required to source projects with a technical focus on value adding re-use, recycling, or waste reprocessing facilities; waste-to-energy facilities; waste facilities displacing fossil fuels; and rollout of proven waste technology across the UK. Success in the waste infrastructure sector is an essential part of the Government's commitment to achieving the transition to a green economy and delivering long-term sustainable growth.
