National competition for innovation and technology funds launched.
Trade and Industry Secretary Patricia Hewitt MP today offered £80million investment to British business for research and development into the latest world-beating innovative technologies.

November 2004 Competition Status
We are pleased to confirm that 975 Outline Applications were received for the competition for funding of which 166 projects (£96.5m) have been recommended for funding by the Operational Group.
