What the Export Control Act 2002 Means

The Export Control Act 2002, which came into force on 1st May  2004, replaced existing export control powers and provided for a more transparent framework and increased Parliamentary accountability.

The Act also extended the previous controls and imposed new ones. This document provides brief guidance on those controls with links to more detailed information. Use the link in the right hand column.
