Community Involvement in Wind Energy Development

The following guidance, intended to encourage community involvement in wind energy development, will be of interest to Local Authority officers as well as Wind Developers and Community Groups. The guidance includes a protocol and best practice guidelines to support public engagement, a 'toolkit' for community benefits, and a report on bankable models for community ownership for wind energy developments.

Onshore Wind Energy Planning Conditions Guidance Note

The Onshore Wind Energy Planning Conditions Guidance Note aims to provide advice on the appropriate types of planning conditions relevant to wind energy development. This advice incorporates information already present within existing planning guidance, provides additional advice regarding the use of planning conditions and outlines generic conditions for use in wind energy developments.
