Advisers to the Energy Review

A range of consultants were appointed as specialist advisers to the Energy Review. They will provide the Review team with expert advice in areas that include: finance, investment, macro economic modelling and transport.

The advisers working on the Review were: academics from Imperial College London and Manchester University; AEA Technology Environment; Deloitte; E4Tech; Econnect; Ernst and Young; Global Insight; Ilex; Jackson Consulting; Morgan Stanley; Oxera; Oxford Economic Forecasting, and Redpoint.

The organisations were appointed by competitive tender in compliance with EU procurement rules, with the exception of Ilex, Jackson Consulting and the academics which were appointed by single tender, and Ernst and Young which was appointed through the S-Cat competitive process. (The S-CAT list comprises companies which are appointed through competitive procurement, and which provides a simplified means for the public sector to procure a range of services.)
