The Chemical Weapons Convention requires that States Party to the Convention hold regular Conferences to review the operation of the Convention. The Second Review Conference will take place from 7th - 18th April 2008 in The Hague, Netherlands. Such reviews shall take into account any relevant scientific and technological developments.
The Chair of the Working Group preparing for the Second Review Conference invited interested bodies outside the OPCW to submit their views before 1st July 2007. The papers submitted to the OPCW by NGO's, academia and chemical industry representatives have not yet been released. However, the UK Government has submitted a number of papers. These papers are available to view in the related documents section located to the right of this text.
