EU Emissions Trading Scheme: Phase 1

Phase I of the EU ETS ran from 1 January 2005 to 31 December 2007. The UK’s National Allocation Plan for that Phase is available on the Defra: EU ETS - UK National Allocation Plan (Phase 1) web page.

The Plan sets out:

• The total quantity of allowances that were allocated in the UK
• The quantity of allowances allocated at sector level
• The quantity of allowances allocated at installation level
• Technical aspects; Community legislation and policy
