On 30 March 2009, the Energy Minister announced a new £10m Call to support Offshore Wind Deployment.
The Low Carbon Energy Demonstration: Offshore Wind Demonstration Call is being delivered through Solutions for Business, the Government's simplified portfolio of support products and its objective is to stimulate and encourage the development and demonstration of offshore wind technologies/components for larger multi-MW turbines to enable their deployment within 2020 timescales.
The Call opens on 27 May 2009 and Applications will close on 3 July 2009. Before completing an application form, applicants are urged to:
carefully read the Call for Proposals and the Guidance Notes; and
discuss their plans with the Call Manager; Allan Taylor on 01224 254128 or email allan.taylor@decc.gsi.gov.uk.
