Jobs at the Better Regulation Executive

The Better Regulation Executive (BRE) is always looking for passionate, talented people who enjoy applying analytical disciplines to business or policy problems, and developing creative solutions.

Civil servants in the BRE are involved in a variety of projects that:

  • challenge and support government departments, regulators and inspectorates
  • shape the future of regulatory policy
  • encourage cultural change within departments and regulators, and change the way we regulate in practice.

Civil servants can join the BRE on loan. For candidates outside the Civil Service, we offer secondments or fixed-term contracts of up to two years.

In some cases contracts can be extended or become permanent.

Current vacancies

We are recruiting around 20-30 Senior Policy Advisors (£26,313 - £32,448) and 10-20 Assistant Directors (£42,375 - £54,855). Please see BERR jobs for full details.
