Encouraging Small Business Growth

The UK needs more businesses with both the vision and capacity to grow. Growing a business is not easy. Some private sector support is available, but government intervention is needed to ensure that there is better public support for high growth potential businesses that addresses gaps and market failures. The government is undertaking a major exercise to rationalise business support products and is taking steps to improve SME procurement opportunities and link R&D/innovation to entrepreneurship and growth.
