Simplifying Business Support

The Business Support Simplification Programme is currently working with businesses and the government to streamline the existing amount of publicly funded business support schemes. This initiative aims to reduce duplication and make it simpler to access support, so that businesses can find the support they need more easily. Business Link (external site) will be the primary service for individuals and organisations wanting to access business support.

Following public consultation the government has announced in the Pre-Budget Report the framework for the new range of simplified schemes. This will then be subject to regular review and evaluation to ensure that business' needs are being met and the new schemes are giving value for money.
