We're creating a single website for everything to do with BIS but, while we do that, you'll find information in three places. > Find what you're looking for
Many of the documents on the website are in formats other than HTML. Documents in PDF, Word, Excel and PowerPoint format can all be found and downloaded on this site.
PDF files retain all of the original formatting of the printed version of documents. To view PDF files you need the Adobe Acrobat Reader . The latest version can be downloaded free of charge.
If you are having trouble reading a PDF document on this website, Adobe offers a free online tool for converting PDF documents to HTML or text. To use the tool you will need to know the url(http://webarchive.nationalarchives.gov.uk/+/http://www.berr.gov.uk/administration/accessibility/Downloading/web address) of the document you want to convert. This can be found in the browser address bar at the top of the screen and begins with http://
If the tool does not work for you and you are still unable to read a document hosted on the site, please contact us and we will try to supply a plain text version.
