Rick Haythornthwaite

Rick Haythornthwaite

Rick Haythornthwaite is Chairman of the Risk and Regulation Advisory Council and took up this post in January 2008. He was previously the Chairman of the Better Regulation Commission, a post that he had held since January 2006.

Rick is also a partner at Star Capital Partners Limited. He read Geology at The Queen's College, Oxford and subsequently took a Sloan Masters in Business Management at the Massachussetts Institute of Technology. He started his career with BP and has since worked as the commercial director of Premier Oil, Chief Executive of Blue Circle plc and, most recently, Chief Executive of Invensys plc.
