Nepal, Uzbekistan Excluded from some Open Licences

NOTICES TO EXPORTERS - 15/05 - 23 September 2005

Following a review of the countries covered by various Open General Export Licences (OGELs) and Open General Transhipment Licences (OGTLs), the Department of Trade and Industry has amended a number of these licences. The details of the licences are as follows:

Nepal has been added to the list of excluded destinations in Schedule 2 to three licences below:

  • OGEL (Technology for Military Goods)
  • OGEL (Military Goods: Export After Repair/Replacement under Warranty)
  • The Open General Transhipment Licence (OGTL)

Nepal and Uzbekistan have been added to the list of excluded destinations in Schedule 2 to the two licences below:

  • OGEL (Military Surplus Vehicles)
  • OGTL (Sporting Guns).

The amended licences came into force on 3 October 2005.  Click onto the main OGELs page in the right hand column to see the revised licences.
