Hull
We’re a friendly bunch in Hull, so don’t hesitate to come in and see us – we’ll soon put you at ease.
We’ll sit you down for a chat with one of our friendly team. We all joined the Army for an action-packed alternative to the sort of lifestyles civilians lead: adventure and excitement, travel and good and pay and pension.
Plus we’ve each achieved promotions and gained qualifications that are recognised by civilian employers. So if you really want to make something of yourself – don’t hesitate to come along.
When you get here
You’ll find us in uniform, of course, but we don’t mind what you wear. Work overalls or day-to-day clothes, we’re more concerned with getting to know a bit about what makes you tick, so we can see what sort of role might suit you. It’s very informal, relaxed and informative. We’ll tell you about different sorts of jobs we recruit for – everything from chefs to tank crewmen, to nurses, vehicle mechanics, electricians and so on – and help you decide if the Army is up your street.
Ask us anything
People often ask us about fitness and training, career opportunities, travel prospects and how much they’ll get paid. Whatever your questions, we’ve got the answers. Ask away!
What happens next?
Your first chat with us will give you loads to think about. And you can always come back and see us again. Then, if you want to take things further, we’ll first weigh and measure you to check your Body Mass Index (BMI). Then arrange a formal interview for you and give you an Army Contact form, an Army DVD and your application pack to take away. We can also arrange your British Army Recruitment Battery (BARB) test.
