A COMPANY |

A (Grenadier) company are currently based in SANGIN, Helmand Province with further troops covering the task of Helmand Reaction Force based in Camp Baston. On arrival in Afghanistan A Company had a further period of training before being deployed under command of 1 Royal Anglian |

B ( Champion )COMPANY |
|
 |
B Company arrived in Afghanistan and following mandatory training in Camp Bastion were moved up to their base in Gereshk. Almost immediately they gave the place the "WFR feel" before deploying on operations in the local area. This pace of life continues. |

C COMPANY |
|
 |
C Company has been deployed on Op Herrick with 12 Mech Bde longer than the rest of 1 WFR, arriving in March. They are currently based in Lashka Gar in the Southern part of the Battalions area but conduct mobile patrols all over the area as well as locally. |

D COMPANY |
|
 |
D (Fire Support) Company is the Battalion Specialist Company. It is split in order to provide specialist fire support teams to each of the Companies deployed on Op Herrick. All the news about D Company soldiers can therefore be found within the other Companies.

HQ COMPANY |
|
 |
Headquarter Company personnel continue to be the "movers and shakers" of the Battalion as without them the rest of the Battalion could not operate. Selections from the Company have deployed with all of the other Companies as well as a number of supply specialists deployed to work with the Bastion Support Group. HQ Company personnel are also running the Rear Party back in Hounslow, which also comprises the Welfare Office Staff who are there for all of your welfare requirements (within reason!!) whilst the Battalion is deployed. |
