Community Guides
A Service Community Guide exists for every garrison, station and base in Great Britain and overseas. The guides are available to download. They cover such topics as:
- Health, education and the services, information and contacts for housing matters
- Helplines - National, Military, Emergency and DE (Housing Directorate)
- Facilities and organisations who can provide help and advice on military and civil matters
- Leisure and Pleasure: sporting and leisure facilities, what to see and do, together with a classified Index of Advertisers
- Earn and Learn (in most guides): Information on local employers and education opportunities.
The Guides are published by Method Publishing for the MOD. A Hard copy of the guide is available from your local Army Welfare Office or local HIVE.
