Assuming reasonably full attendance and attendance at Annual Camp there is also an Annual Bounty, paid at Easter, of up to £155.

Many employers recognise the value of military training and the leadership and management experience that you receive. The self confidence and presentation skills can also be of great help when attending job selection days. Many graduates find that it is a useful addition to their CV.

There are lots of opportunities for sport, travel and adventurous training. During the Summer vacation, the unit sponsors adventurous training expeditions worldwide - in recent years students from the unit have kayaked, climbed and skied in Bavaria, trekked in Pakistan and climbed and trekked in the United States. Though assistance and guidance is provided by the unit's Regular Army staff, the bulk of the planning, organisation and execution is firmly in the hands of the students

Also during the Summer Vacation, officers cadets may elect to serve an attachment to the Regular or Territorial Army in Britain, Germany or Cyprus.
