MSUOTC

 

What Does It Aim To Do?

MSUOTC is a military unit but it is not about training students for war. Many UOTC members do go on to join the Armed Forces, both full and part time, but the majority have no further contact with the forces after they graduate.

The aims behind having a student organisation such as this are simple.

We want to promote the image of the Army amongst undergraduates and encourage a deeper understanding of the Army amongst future employers and managers-

We also prepare students, both male and female, for the challenge of becoming young officers in the Regular or Territorial Army.

Whatever they decide to do after University whilst in the UOTC they get training in leadership and management, experience of life and life in the Army while taking part in military exercises, adventurous training, community projects and expeditions.
