Territorial Army

Events Calendar

TA100 will comprise a range of activities across the UK. They will begin in April, marking the formation of the first Territorial Force units on 1st April 1908, and continue throughout the year.

As details of events are finalised they will appear on these pages, presenting a comprehensive picture of where you can join in the celebrations.

Throughout the year, a wide range of events will celebrate that commitment, ranging from a service at St Paul’s Cathedral and spectacular pageant in London and regional events such as the Edinburgh Military Tattoo, to freedom parades and other functions at local unit level.

As well as these events, we will be marking the TA’s 100th birthday in a number of other ways. For instance, a special commemorative book, Territorials, will be available for purchase. Heavily illustrated, it will chart the history and achievements of the TA, from its beginnings as Lord Haldane’s ‘Territorial Force’, through two World Wars, the Cold War period of cuts and stagnation, to the present day when the TA operates and fights alongside the Regulars.

There will be a commemorative brochure, also available for purchase, which will make an ideal and affordable souvenir of the year’s celebrations.

These and other items will be available for purchase through this website, so look out for new pages appearing.
