Military Personnel Exchange Program (US/UK)

Welcome to the Partnership Exchange Program (United Kingdom) Homepage.  The Partnership Exchange Program (PEP) is described in Army Regulation 614-10.

To begin, one of the most important points is understanding the difference between an Exchange Officer and a Liaison Officer.  Exchange Officers are integrated into and work for the country’s army to which they are assigned. As a UK PEP Officer, you would be working as a British Army Officer.  Liaison Officers do not belong to the unit to which they are assigned.

The purpose of this website is two-fold.  First, it is designed to answer the questions of those contemplating a PEP UK assignment and to provide information to those newly assigned.  Secondly, it is an information resource for the seasoned PEP Officers and they are invited to contribute to maintain the accuracy and relevance of the website.

The links on the left will direct you to additional information.  They link to additional information organized by categories.  For example there is a page dedicated to administrative information such as instructions for downloading Formflow as a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section.  The "Where Can I Be Stationed"  page provides descriptions of the assignment opportunities with the British Army.   I hope you find this website helpful and informative.  Should you have any questions or issues concerning this website please contact the MPEP webmaster.
