Who are we?

Z Company is one of three rifle companies that make up the 5^th Battalion, The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers.

What does Z Company have to offer?

Should you decide to join Z Company you will be trained firstly as an infantry soldier. First and foremost we are a light-role combat infantry unit; you will therefore be trained in infantry weapons and live-firing, tactics, fieldcraft, drill (marching), personal administration, fitness, teamwork and effectively all things ARMY. Your training as an infantry soldier will be on-going throughout your career with Z Company, Tuesday nights and weekends will be geared towards your continued training.

But that’s not all. Opportunities exist within Z Company to further your training and expand your skills. Once you are a trained soldier then we can pay you to train to become medics, HGV drivers and Physical Training Instructors for example. Also, if you have the dedication and the determination, there are chances of promotion; how far you go is only down to you!

Cyprus, Romania, Germany, Georgia, USA…

These are just some of the countries Z Company soldiers have been paid to go to. Last year alone Z Company had soldiers training in Canada, Jordan and Moldova. There are always opportunities for travel, later this year Z Company fusiliers are skiing in Austria!

The opportunities and challenges at Z Company are endless and there for whoever is willing to take them. We train hard in order to be the best we can be but we play hard too. There is no shortage of social events throughout the year and there is often the chance for adventure training. Our fusiliers enjoy such (paid) activities as mountain-biking, canoeing, abseiling, hiking and rock climbing… often abroad. There are chances of attachments to regular units. You could take part in military skills competitions against other nations’ armies in other countries.

As well as training you as an effective infantry soldier, Z Company will give you the opportunity to:
