No problem is too big or too small! |

| The Army Welfare Information Service (AWIS) exists to give information and advice to Army Families and single Servicemen. The Information Service is staffed by trained personnel who are thoroughly experienced in most of the problems encountered by Army Families whether they are simple, routine queries or difficult matters of a family or personal nature. They will point you in the right direction for professional help and advice. AWIS staff are also in regular touch with the military and civilian agencies who can provide assistance and advice on almost any subject. The Information Service works in two main ways:
AWIS produces, and circulates to all units, Information Sheets and Leaflets on a wide range of subjects of particular interest to military personnel and their families. Together, these Sheets provide a vast fund of reference information that is instantly available to any soldier and his family. You may consult any AWIS Information Sheet at your local AWS Office, Families Centre or HIVE.
Note: Whilst every care is taken in the preparation of the AWIS Fact Sheets, they are intended as a guide only and must be read in conjunction with current legislation/regulations.
If you require advice or information on any point that is not covered by an Information Sheet, you may contact AWIS direct or via the people shown below:
