Race for Opportunity Benchmarking Report 04
For the fourth time running the Army has come top of the public sector in the Race for Opportunity (RfO) Benchmarking Report. Over 180 private and public sector organisations across the UK work with Race for Opportunity to realise their objectives on race, usually as part of their diversity programme. The campaign works in partnership with these organisations to help them reap the benefits of implementing an effective race and diversity action plan. RfO works across 4 key areas:-
Employment - including recruitment, selection and retention
Marketing - to ethnic minorities
Engaging ethnic minority businesses as partners
Diversity - programmes and initiatives to ensure inclusion
Strong leadership at Board level is also seen as a key indicator and the Army qualifies in this respect through CGS' Equality & Diversity Directive.
