Armed Forces Honours and Awards Guide

JSP 761: Honours and Awards in the Armed Forces, is a comprehensive guide for dealing with recommendations for the award of honours, decorations and medals that may be made to members of the British Armed Forces. It sets out, in particular, the list of honours and awards that may be granted to members of the Army and gives the conditions and procedures to be adopted when putting forward recommendations. This includes the various awards available, who is eligible for which award, the wearing of awards and information on foreign and Commonwealth awards.

JSP 761 is available on the Defence Intranet.  It is not available to the general public.

  • Open 'Defence Intranet' and click on the 'Library' tab.
  • Under the heading 'Browse by Document Type' select 'JSPs (Joint Service Publications).
