The RCMO is responsible for providing career management and advice to all CAMUS soldiers.  This has a dual purpose, not only to allow appropriate counselling by an individual outwith the immediate Chain of Command but also in order to advise HQ DCAMUS and MCM Div with regard trends for outflow.

The RCMO is mandated where possible to interview all CAMUS soldiers who have submitted notice to terminate their service.  This is not only to ensure that every soldier has access to appropriate resettlement information but to encourage the wider Army employment market.
