Swimming and Water Polo

The Corps Colours

Swimming and Water Polo continues to increase in popularity within the Corps. Royal Signals Teams have continued to be successful at all levels within the Army. Two Regiments within the Corps, 21st Signal Regiment and 7th Signal Regiment are designated as Corps units for Swimmers and Water Polo players.

Coming up for airMost bases have swimming facilities

Recently, the Corps has won both male and female British Army Germany Swimming Competitions and Water Polo Championships. We have also been successful in the Army finals and provided the majority of teams for the Water Polo Finals. At the Inter Corps Championships, the last 5 years have proved extremely successful with the Female Swimming Team being Champions on 4 occasions, the Men's Swimming Team and The Water Polo Team being crowned Champions twice each. Indeed, we achieved a clean sweep at the 10th Inter Corps in 1998, a feat that will probably never be repeated.
