Introduction

A relatively new sport to the Corps Rugby League is slowly finding its feet as a sport that the Corps with its small but talented squad can compete with the best across the 3 services.  There has been mixed success over the past 4 years with the Corps team finishing 4th in 2004, 3rd in 2005 and 5th in 2006 in the Lawson Cup which is the Inter Corps competition.  11 Signal Regiment have led the way at unit level winning the plate at the Inter Unit 9’s competition in 2005 and runner up in  the 2006 competition.. The Corps team is drawn from Units all over the Corps

2006 Season

After the success of 2005 the 2006 season started poorly but finished on a high.  After losing in the Quarter final of the Lawson cup 7 – 10 to the REME after leading 7 – 0 with 8 minutes to go the Corps finished the season in style convincingly beating the Royal Artillery and then the Royal Marines at Blandford putting on a excellent display for the watching  Brigadier P Davies.
