Men's Hockey

Men's hockey within the Corps continues to be well supported, despite many recent operational deployments. The men's team has had limited success in competitions in spite of many strong performances during indoor and outdoor competitions. A number of the younger team members have represented the Army and Combined Services at under 23 level, with some breaking into the senior squads. Many of the Corps players are posted to Blandford in the UK and Elmpt station in Germany.

Veterans Hockey

A recent addition to the Inter-Corps tournament, the Veterans team allows many former and current Corps players over the age of 35 to compete at Corps level, albeit at a slightly slower pace than that of the senior squad. The veterans were runners-up at the recent Inter-Corps tournament, despite playing with a depleted squad. Thanks must go to those veterans who give up their spare time and take leave from their civilian employment to continue to support the Corps.

Ladies Hockey

Ladies hockey continues to grow within the Corps. Recent seasons have seen the squad produce encouraging performances in both the Indoor and Outdoor Inter Corps competitions, reaching the final on several occasions. Fixtures are played against other Corps sides and the RMAS in the build up to the Inter Corps, and also against civilian opposition. In February 2006 the squad undertook a mini tour to Guernsey, and in May 2007 will tour Holland and Germany. A major overseas tour is planned for late 2007/8. Several of the Corps players represent the Army and Combined Services. We are always looking for new members to join the squad, anyone interested in playing for the Corps should contact Capt Sophie Howe on 94877 2418 or Capt Nic Berry on 942224830.
