The Army Champs report will be published here shortly. Click for the Army Champs results, also found at the ASA website for the competitions held at the Championships.  A number of pictures and some video was taken at the championships and will be published here when edited.  For now, there are a few pics in  the Army Champs gallery to whet your appetite.

Exercise DummerSee Splash 11 - 15 Jun 07

Ex Dummersee splash was a week long sailing exercise held over the period 11 – 15 June and undertaken at the Dummersee Yacht Club in Germany where 29 members of the Corps took part in sailing activities.  The week was organised by Maj John Fradley the Rear Commodore Windsurfing which was conducted in varying conditions from mill pond to gale, with at the end of a very rewarding week 19 individuals qualified as RYA Level 1 Windsurfers and 9 individuals qualified as RYA Level 1 Dinghy Sailors.  Some noticeable talent was spotted during the week and a number of newly committed windsurfers became keen to attend the Army Windsurfing Championships which were due to be held 3 weeks later.  The Dummersee Yacht club is an excellent facility which is perched on the waters edge of the Dummersee located at Lembruch north of Osnabruck it is a man made lake which at its deepest point will only come up to the average adults chest.  The club has excellent facilities and equipment which includes accommodation and food for only Euro 10 per night.  Anyone who can already sail or is interested in learning to doing so can find out more information by following this link for the BDYC.  Take a look at the picture gallery from the week.

Exercise Extreme Surf Maui 3

This is the third Maui visit of its kind, organised to allow competent windsurfers to visit the famous windsurfing location of Maui. Sgt Rob Hickley was lucky enough to be able to plan his time to get away for the trip. Read about his experience on Maui 3 here and check out the envious pictures from the Maui exploits.  A few shown below as a taster.

General

If you would like to compete (any level of windsurfer is welcome) then please get in touch. Don't worry if you don't think you are up to it, as there are always novices competing all the time. Very often, many who start a race do not actually get to finish, due to running out of time - It is not time wasted - it is time on the water improving your windsurfing. Why not have a go?
