Windsurfing Events

The Corps Colours

Racing

The Army Sailing Association (ASA) (Windsurfing) Events List (provisional for 2007) shows all ASA events for the season, including the Inter-Corps Series of competitions in which the Corps Team competes throughout the year. Novices (and windsurfers of any standard) are always most welcome to join in with the racing, and they compete against other novice sailors.  Opportunities for preparing for race events as a team, with racing equipment and in the right conditions are very scarce. Race training has proven invaluable in improving technique and building confidence in race conditions in the past, therefore it is anticipated that race training will be held on the day(s) before an event this year.

Check out the dates and plug them into your diary. Drop the Corps Secretary a line for more details.

Exercise Canary Reach 08

We would like to run a windsurfing training exercise in 2008 for Royal Signals personnel with a windsurfing ability of level2/level3 standard. The location would be somewhere in The Canary Islands, affording guaranteed consistent winds, ideal for training and progression. Level 2/3 can be achieved quite easily within a year with a fair amount of time spent on the water, so if you are a novice now or if you would like to offer an early interest, then please contact Maj Fradley or Capt Curtin at any time. We need you to make this happen. Details will be published on this website and distributed to units as and when plans are confirmed.
