Netball

The Corps Colours

The standard of players and the standard of games have never been so high as we enter a new millennium. The inter Corps Championships hosted a mix of very mature and experienced teams with energetic young blood many playing in their first inter Corps Competition. The home of the Royal Corps of Signals certainly dominated the Corps side with all but one player coming from Blandford Garrison in 1999. For this reason Netball has come back to Blandford and all Corps training now takes place there. It is hoped that by bringing the sport back to familiar surroundings that we will get more individual sportswomen to return from their units for weekend training sessions. Netball is played in most units and with several of the Corps Team playing in the Army Squad the future looks very promising.
