Welcome to 40 (Ulster) Signal Regiment, Northern Ireland's TA Royal Signals Regiment. This web site aims to provide information on our activities and role by providing useful information and acting as a resource for potential recruits.

 

The Regiment does not have a security role within Northern Ireland.

Summer Camp 2005
Annual camp this year, Exercise Aboreal Phoenix took place at Beckingham Training Camp from 06-24 September 2005 and comprised trade training followed by adventure, survival and military skills training.

With the change in role the Regiment is in the process of changing its equipment moving  to some of the latest communications equipment.

  • Squadrons - The Regiment has Squadrons in Belfast, Bangor and Limavady
  • History - Dating back to the re-formation of volunteer forces in Northern Ireland during the late 1930's.
