40 Signal Regiment - Equipment

The Corps Colours
With the move from 11 Signal brigade to 2 Signal Brigade 40 (Ulster) Signal Regiment is currently changing the equipment used to suit our new role. The EUROMUX equipment is being phased out and is being replaced with equipment more suited to supporting the army and government in times of crisis. This equipment is put to the test in regular exercises.

A versatile system used to provide secure communications to Head Quarters and Staff users. It supports simple telephones, digital telephones and message printers.

REEBOK

REEBOK - Deployable IT

The Regiment has the capability to deploy a computer LAN into the field, providing up to 25 users with a laptop and telephone.  Video conferencing facilities can also be provided.

Airwave

Providing the vital link between the emergency services and the Armed Forces the Regiment uses the latest Airwave technology. This system is not deployed within Northern Ireland, but is used in support of mainland exercises and operations.
