40th (Ulster) Signal Regiment is the Provinces own Royal Signal Regiment. It is one of eight
Territorial Army units who have the task of providing field communications to support military personnel,
deployed alongside the emergency services in response to a crisis, within Great Britain and Northern
Ireland. There are no regular forces assigned to this role. In addtion, the Regiment also deploys individual
reinforcements to regular units engaged in operations worldwide.
