Who we are

35 Signal Regiment performs an active, operational an integral role within the Allied Command Europe Rapid Reaction Corps (ARRC).

35 Signal Regiment was formed in 1967 as a result of a major re-organisation of the Territorial Army.

In 1970 the Regiment was granted the Freedom of the City of Birmingham and is an active and prominent fundraiser for the Birmingham Children's Hospital, Save the Children and the Army Benevolent Fund. It is therefore an integral part of the local community. The Regiment is spread geographically throughout the Midlands with five Squadrons.

35 Signal Regiment performs an active, operational an integral role within the Allied Command Europe Rapid Reaction Corps (ARRC). The Regiment provides the ARRC with secure mobile communications over a wide area using the Army's most up to date digital communications equipment.

As a result of this important role many of our TA soldiers have seen service with IFOR in Bosnia, utilising and gaining skills on a variety of equipment.

We frequently exercise in North West Europe. More recently some have also exercised with our regular counterparts in Poland and Canada.
