The Corps Colours

Signaller Kelly GodfreySignaller Kelly Godfrey - Radio System Operator

I arrived at 209 Signal Squadron in September 2004, Since I've been at the unit I have took part in orienteering championships, cross country, Atlantic sailing, Tug of war and various other sports offered by the unit.

I was selected for the Army Tug of war in June 2004 by taking part in a competition at Colchester. I recently took part in a 3 week tug of war training camp in Chillwell, which involved running in the mornings and 3 rope sessions in the day to get to the necessary weight. In September I am going to Italy to represent the Army, and from there hopefully getting selected for England under 23's.

I have also actively took part in all the squadrons exercises including one of the last armoured exercises and several of the exercises as a light brigade. I have been running my own Radio detachment for three months but before that I worked on the G3 Operations detachment. There are also a lot of opportunitites to get involved in all kinds of sport and fabulous expeditions and adventurous training.
