Are you a former Royal Irish (Home Service) soldier?  Do you think you can't join the Army again?  Think again...

Has the change to civilian life been difficult for you?  Maybe you just miss the old days and, let's be honest here, the great wages you got every month - not to mention the allowances you can get on top we all enjoy!

Stop looking through the website and reminiscing thinking "I was a soldier once" - COME BACK!

We want experienced and professional ex-soldiers to join our Battalion.  Who better than a former Royal Irish soldier?

Home Service or General Service, there is no difference!  You are one of us!

You are rightly proud to have served in the finest infantry regiment in the Army.
Why not be proud to be a serving member of that regiment once again?

The rules are contained in Article 401 of the Army Pensions Warrant 1977. An officer or soldier who is voluntarily re-employed in peace time in any one of the Armed Forces, within 5 years of being made redundant, will be required to repay part of his Special Capital Payment in accordance with the following formula:

hs_repayment

Where A is the number of complete months elapsed since the last day of paid service.

Take the effort out, click the picture above to send an email.  We will be delighted to hear from you.

Now, just click the link below to remind yourself why we get paid so much.
